Ambient & Electronic Music
My electronic music fits into two broad categories, the ambient/minimalist explorations of my American Cicada Laboratory project, and the downtempo worldbeat electropop of Clouds Like Fish with my wife Shelly Ley.
American Cicada Laboratory documents my inner healing journey and my intention is that the music will help others heal as well. The pieces are longer, slowly evolving meditative journeys that move through inner space, from the dark to the light, from difficulty to peace. Clouds Like Fish features shorter worldbeat oriented song forms and lead vocals by myself and Shelly.
If you like classic synth music like Tangerine Dream, Steve Roach, or Brian Eno, you’ll probably really enjoy American Cicada Laboratory.

Electronic music in the vein of some of my favorite artists: Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Tangerine Dream, Philip Glass, yet the style is uniquely mine. Some tracks are very composed, others are improvised. Enjoy while you drive, hike, sleep, meditate, or journey.
